Interviews

We aim to interview all applicants, with UCAS Route A interviews starting in January and Route B interviews after Easter.

In addition to the formal interview with two members of staff you will also have a guided tour of our facilities and an informal meeting with a small group of current students - they will help you to 'rehearse' your formal interview and answer any questions you have about the course.

Portfolios

What do we want to see in an applicant's portfolio?

We are often asked that question, and the answer is surprisingly simple: we want to see some evidence that you are interested in photography as a means of communication, and that you have enthusiasm for the subject.
At this stage, we're more interested in your ideas and how you express them through photography, rather than your technical expertise.

We will also look carefully at the reference on your UCAS form, which should give an indication of your levels of motivation and commitment.
