| Why
study photography at Blackpool?
The
course has an international reputation for producing photographers of
the highest calibre, and the majority of our graduates go on to work in
photography or an allied field.
Liaison with Industry The
course has very strong links with several organisations in the photographic
industry including the British Institute of Professional Photography,
who approve and validate the third year Professional Qualifying Examination.
Visiting Lecturers Our numerous visiting lecturers are a valuable source of inspiration and advice. Every visitor talks to all three year groups and reviews individual portfolios; they help us to address current professional issues, maintain the vocational relevance of the course and prepare students for life after graduation. The list of recent visiting lecturers is too long for this section, but you can click here to view the list of visiting lecturers. Competitions There
are a number of competitions throughout the year which are a wonderful
opportunity to publicise you and your work. Details of the various competitions
are put up on the competition notice board, and you will be encouraged
to take part. We have probably won more competitions over the last few
years than any other photography course in the country. Our prize list
includes first prizes in the AoP Student Awards, the Fuji Awards, Metro
Awards, D&AD and the Mitsubishi Electronic Imaging Awards. Exhibitions We
always hold our graduation exhibition in London and often exhibit in Manchester. Summary of the course
